Why do I need tags and how do I create them?

Tags are custom labels you can apply to your contacts. You will necessarily need premade Tag to set the audience Auto-action will work with. Also, it is a great tool to divide your audience into smaller groups with more look-alike characteristics. 

You can set this Tags for the contacts right in the "import via .CSV file" screen or you can do it in post editing process. To choose the contacts simply select them with the checkboxes in the right column of the contacts list and click "Manage tags" button. In the appeared list select the Tag that was created previously or create the new one clicking in the "+ Create new tag" element. 

For more convenience, you can sort your contacts clicking on the column titles a filter contacts with the premade filters in the right bar of the contact tab. Commonly used filters are time zone, a person's age or location, etc. You can use your made tags as filters, too. 

To add or remove a tag, select contacts, then click on "Manage tags", and then on "+" or "-", respectively.

You can see which tags are applied to your contacts right in the list view. Just click the Settings ("gear") button to the left of the "Manage tags" button, and check "Tag" in the drop-down list.

There are a lot of benefits of using Tags with filters: You can choose the right timing based on contacts time zone, adjust the wording or your call to action based on age or other data you have about your customers. Marketers know that proper targeting based correct segmentation may increase conversion rates dramatically.

If you need to check out the contents of a particular Tag, just click on it in the right bar and all the contacts of this tag will be shown. 

How remove Tags from the contact(s)

You can select contacts using checkboxes then go to the Manage tags menu and using "+" or "-" under the Tag you want to add or remove it from the selected contacts.

The easy way to massively remove Tag(s) from your contacts is to select the tag in the right bar and follow the instructions beyond.
